We have skied in many heliskiing regions and we’re convinced that the runs in Gudauri in Georgia are some of the best in the world. Gudauri is situated at the Cross Pass (the junction between Europe and Asia) in the middle of the Caucasus. It boasts of imposing mountains up to 5,000 metres in height and is only 100 km north of the Georgian capital Tbilisi. We stay at the Sporthotel Gudauri, a four-star hotel with pool, sauna and jacuzzi. You’ll get taken up to the remote alpine world of the Caucasus with the help of powerful MI 8 MTV-1 helicopters, which are manned by two pilots. Once there, spectacular runs between 400 and 1,600 vertical metres await us. The groups consist of a maximum of 6 people and are led by experienced guides from the Alps who have been trained especially in Gudauri. All participants are equipped with avalanche transceivers and ABS backpacks. If the weather doesn’t allow for flights, you’ve got the possibility to ski to the pistes of Gudauri straight from the hotel. Three and four-seater Doppelmayr chairlifts service well-maintained pistes and deep powder runs on up to 3,300 m.
The fantastic heliskiing runs in the Caucasus are nearer than you think. From Munich, it’s only a 3.5 hours flight to Tbilisi, and from there it’s just a 2.5 hour bus transfer. If you want to travel from Munich to the French Alps, your trip can take longer than that! And what’s especially important on this one-week trip is that you’ll be skiing nearly a full 6 days!

Complimentary deep powder snow course for all participants
We invite all participants of our heliskiing trips to take part in a complimentary two-day weekend course in the Alps. It gives you the chance to brush up on your deep powder skiing abilities, and we get the chance to decide in advance on the optimal group allocation. This way we avoid putting people with different levels of skiing in the same group. By strategically putting our groups together in this way we ensure that people can ski down in harmony. It helps us, most importantly it helps you.

No visa necessary for Georgia!
Since August 2005, citizens of the EU and Switzerland don’t need a visa for trips of up to 90 days! On entering Georgia, passports only need to be valid for a minimum of six months after the travel dates.
