Heliskiing Discover the ultimate deep powder snow experience with us: endless untouched slopes in beautiful winter scenery. Amazing powder snow. A calm silence and a serene feeling of joy.
We take you to some of the world’s best deep powder snow regions where you can discover the fascination of unlimited deep powder skiing with the help of professional guides.
Things to know before leaving Heliskiing is skiing in remote natural landscapes. Kamchatka and the Caucasus are very similar to the Alps or the Rockies as regards the weather: It is very fickle. Thus you have to expect that some days might not be ideal for flying and that therefore helicopters don’t take off on those days for safety reasons. The prevailing weather and snow conditions and the level of avalanche risk dictate whether the group will be able to fly to the top of the mountain and ski down. Our heliskiing guides and pilots have the right to restrict skiing or stop it altogether. As a client, you agree to respect all decisions made by the guides and the pilots in this regard. These restrictions are only taken to ensure your safety and your being able to enjoy skiing. It is very important that good preparation is taken to make sure your trip runs smoothly!
Complimentary deep powder snow course for all participants We invite all participants of our heliskiing trips to take part in a complimentary two-day weekend course in the Alps. It gives you the chance to brush up on your deep powder skiing abilities, and we get the chance to decide in advance on the optimal group allocation. This way we avoid putting people with different levels of skiing in the same group. By strategically putting our groups together in this way we ensure that people can ski down in harmony. It helps us, most importantly it helps you.
Only those with a good enough level of fitness can enjoy the ultimate heliskiing experience You can expect long, and in parts, quite difficult deep powder snow runs on your heliskiing trip. But it would be a shame if your thigh muscles started burning and if you ran out of steam early into the trip. This is why we suggest starting a conditioning programme as early as possible, ideally three months before the trip. We suggest getting a training programme through the sports academy Sportschule Fürstenfeldbruck-Puch (www.sportschule-ffb-puch-gmbh.de). For many years our clients have been preparing for deep powder skiing and heliskiing with the help of a tailored training programme. Lenz Westner, the head of the renowned academy, and many of his top trainers have themselves been avid participants of our courses and heliskiing trips for years.
